Introduction: Does the Bible Say the Earth is Round?
In recent years, a growing number of Christians have become convinced that the Bible teaches a flat Earth. This belief stems from a rigid, overly literal interpretation of figurative language in Scripture—such as references to “the four corners of the Earth.” While this may seem like a minor doctrinal issue, I believe this flat Earth theory is a deception designed to discredit Christianity, making believers appear anti-scientific and irrational.
The truth is that the Bible does not support a flat Earth worldview. In fact, encoded within the Hebrew text of Scripture is a hidden Bible code that explicitly states that the Earth is a sphere. So, does the Bible say the Earth is round? Today, I will share a remarkable Bible code, revealed through Equidistant Letter Sequencing (ELS), that testifies to the roundness of our planet. My hope is that this discovery will provide clarity on this issue and equip fellow believers with evidence to refute the false teaching of a flat Earth.
The Significance of Psalm 22, 23, and 24
The Bible code I am about to present spans across three consecutive Psalms—Psalm 22, Psalm 23, and Psalm 24. These Psalms, all attributed to King David, were likely written during his lifetime (circa 1040–970 BC). However, the final arrangement of the Book of Psalms is believed to have been completed around the time of Ezra (circa 450 BC). This arrangement is significant because the Bible code would not be possible unless these three Psalms appeared in their current order.
Each of these Psalms holds deep theological significance:
- Psalm 22 foreshadows the crucifixion of Christ.
- Psalm 23 speaks of God’s guidance and provision.
- Psalm 24 declares the sovereignty of the Lord over all the Earth.
The fact that the Bible code confirming a round Earth is found within this portion of Scripture is no coincidence—it reinforces the divine authorship and precision of the biblical text.
The Bible Code: “It’s a Sphere”

Using the ELS method, the Hebrew phrase “זה כדור“ (zeh kador), meaning “It’s a sphere“, is encoded in Psalm 22:22 through Psalm 24:6 at an interval of every 148 letters backward. This discovery is even more significant given that the search was conducted under a maximum constraint of 150 letters. By limiting the ELS range, we ensure that the code is not a mere statistical anomaly but a deliberate encryption within a short, meaningful distance.
At first glance, a six-letter phrase might not seem extraordinary. However, this code contains the Hebrew letter zayin (ז)—one of the rarer letters in the Hebrew alphabet—making this encryption statistically significant. Moreover, this specific phrase appears in only two places in the entire Tanakh at a short-distance ELS, further supporting its authenticity.
The Key Connection: Psalm 24:1
What makes this Bible code even more compelling is its intersection with the opening verse of Psalm 24:
“The Earth is the LORD’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.”
When read together with the encoded message, the result is a profound declaration:
“The Earth is the LORD’s. It’s a sphere.“
This alignment between the plain text and the encoded message on the grid is clear evidence of intentional design within the biblical text.
The Modern Hebrew Connection
Another striking aspect of this Bible code is its linguistic connection to modern Hebrew. The word “כדור” (kador), meaning “sphere”, is still used in contemporary Hebrew to refer to Earth in a planetary sense. In modern Israeli Hebrew, the standard term for “Earth” is “כדור הארץ” (Kadur HaAretz), which literally means “The Sphere of the Earth.”
This connection underscores the accuracy and foresight embedded in the biblical text—long before humanity fully understood the Earth’s shape. To this truth Google translator bears witness:

Thus, when modern Israelis speak of “Earth” in the planetary sense, they don’t merely say: “earth”, but rather: “the sphere of the earth.” This construction is completely unique to modern Hebrew.
Conclusion: Does the Bible Say the Earth is Round?
So, does the Bible say the Earth is round? Yes, it does. While the Bible does not use modern scientific terminology, it contains clear evidence—including this hidden Bible code—that supports the concept of a spherical Earth. The hidden message in Psalms reinforces what we already know from science and history: the Earth is not flat.
The hidden Bible code presented here provides compelling evidence that the Scriptures affirm a round Earth. Furthermore, this discovery aligns with the overwhelming scientific and observational data that confirms Earth’s spherical nature.
God, in His infinite wisdom, revealed this truth thousands of years before modern science confirmed it. As the Lord declared in Isaiah:
“I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done…“ (Isaiah 46:9-10)
Indeed, Jesus Himself reminded us:
“Behold, I have told you before.“ (Matthew 24:25)
This revelation should strengthen our faith in the divine authorship of the Bible and equip us to counter false doctrines. The Earth is the Lord’s—and yes, it is a sphere.

It’s flat within the sphere , like a dome but something inside. Like a body of water the boarders of the water is a circle , the whole within itself is also a sphere but the water sits as a flat surface when you face it . But it’s also not how nasa depicted in its pictures of the earth. So both parties of this argument can hold truth .
